'Shakestivalling' in the New Europe

چکیده
This article maps out the landscape of Shakespeare festivals in Europe and argues that European Festivals Network (ESFN) has been crucial to putting them on tourist map. ESFN is a cultural foundation established March 2010 as an association five festivals: Bath (United Kingdom), Craiova (Romania), Gdansk (Poland), Gyula (Hungary), Neuss (Germany). begins with documenting Network's first ten years activity (as yet not attempted) survey its member festivals. The second part this offers potential directions for broader exploration phenomenon own right, form tourism, place field studies.
